I have a XF crossflow head, when I get a block I will dummy it up and take some piccies

Yeah huge angle with half of the pushrods is the main drama, right?

Bore spacing is the same with Ford and Holden sixes, so the chambers are nicely centred. Use a Ford or custom made gasket - the Holden gasket with the Ford head will leave crevices at each side because the gasket matches the odd shaped Holden chambers. All the head bolts bar one at each end on the cam side match up so there is a little bit of filling required on those two. Probably no need for a totally closed deck if you can make some openings at the back (front?) of the head to match the ones at the back of the block deck and also some steam holes to match the little ones between the cylinders. Don't forget that the Ford valves and ports are in a different sequence to the Holden EIIEEIIEEIIE layout so you also need a custom made camshaft to suit.
