I suppose everyone has different needs, if you like low then go for it. You can always raise it if your not happy. Just a word of warning though, a mate of mine didnt have much travel in his suspension and going around a corner he hit a decent bump, the suspension was also super hard, the back end skipped out and nearly ended in the trees. Just be careful .

im from sa
dunno if its true or not but i think depends on the car on how low the car must be and what cop you get
mate of mine got his vk calais defected for to low/18" wheels, they didn't measure from lowest point
they measured from wheel center to guard, his rear was 600mm dead on, he got away with the rears,
the front was ment to be 500mm, he was 8mm to low on front, sent him str8 to regency
i got lowest kings springs on my lj torana, guard sits jus few mm above my 13" stock rim all way round, cops dont even look twice
thank my lucky stars

What is the actual size of a stock torana spring?
Would just help to know when looking for lower springs.
Thanks Blake
Depends on model/engine capacity/heavy duty option etc...

lol that is their job. It is what is unroadworthy 'in their opinion'. I don't know who was smoking what when they thought that officers wouldn't abuse that power! Jesus f*cking christIt seems alot to me like the SA police tend to make the rules up as they go for stuff like car heights, steeringwheels and interior stuff when handing out defects.
^ lol Matt
I can find the uncompressed length of a rear LH/LX/UC spring if anyone wants. I don't have a standard one handy, but I don't think uncompressed length is actually a very useful measurement, because the way it will sit will just depend on springrates...

You're right, but if you have a standard and a low one side by side and just want to know which is which the extended length will give you a definite answer, the standard ones are a lot tallerI don't think uncompressed length is actually a very useful measurement, because the way it will sit will just depend on springrates...
