I haven't heard any bad stories about ICE ignition systems. Used to see a lot of ICE systems on street and strip cars at the drags that ran times from 9 secs onwards. To me that says they do the job fine.

I have been using IC&E products since Phil Soderstrom owned the business (about 15-18 years). Never had a problem and they have worked perfectly in everything I put them in. Numerous times I have replaced MSD with IC&E gear to great benefit. My SBC engine and tow truck both have IC&E dizzys in them today.

The 6002MC is pretty much cutting edge technology. If you have a 308 HEI they can rebuild that and customize it to your requirements for considerably less but the new stuff is better.

Used Ice always and never had a single problem with it.

Quite a few of the VL Turbo guys use and recomend ICE suff, never used myself but seems to have a good name for itself.

I guess the biggest question is what times/HP do you have/run now ? because if you are only running 14's then i bet $1300 could be more advantageous spent on other mods.

Maybe if you are chasing HP at the sharper end of the scale $1300 could be cheap, if it gave you better performance and reliability to run the numbers.

Years ago MSD was the go, all the Drag racers seemed to run MSD IGN and this was recommended to me by people i trust, i did my own testing @ Willowbank 1/4 Mile changing nothing but the supposed better IGN related items etc and at the time was much dissapointed.

I would be interested in any other results if anyone has done "true" back to back testing with and without any brand IGN system (ICE & MSD included) as i did when i fitted my MSD ?

I do still own/run my MSD,it has been very reliable and does have a few good advantages for me, but can't say id rush out and buy the same thing again just based on going faster over the 1/4 Mile ?

I think you will find that they just had an Engine Masters Horsepower competition in the states and ICE ignition was powering the engines that won the first 3 places and 5th also. They also won last year.

I used ICE ignition in the Gpak. To 10.71 sec 1/4s. in 308.

Now have new ICE system on curent car with the Chev.

Ive never had a problem either and its top quality.

Basically all that ICE do is run more voltage to the primary side of the coil. They have a 16volt and 24 volt setup. The trick is getting it to work with the right coil and an ignitor that will survive.

I run a 20 volts DIY setup using a VK f/i commode coil and there are benefits.

MSD was good in the days of points dizzys but with the right electronics the longer spark of Inductive setup is better IMO.

I hear only good things about IC&E, Im personally a bit unsure of these msd etc units i fitted a mallory 6al i mainly went to this for the limited after havin a bad free rev on the nitrous! But i think since fittin the 6al its been a bit flat in the mid range if u hold it free revin at around the 3-3400 mark it splutters! When we had it on the dyno with oscilliscope hooked up we could c it was doin multi spark down low and slowly dropin off and becoming longer up top and could not fualt the mid range even free revin it didn't show again always the way when u got test equipment hooked up!
I personally for all my dizzy stuff is use jerry from igntion torque! he's the man thru my eyes!

Magnificent products. I wouldn't use anything else. The new billet dizzies are made in house from australian made components unlike the majority of products you see floating around that are made in china and marketed as assorted local and international brands.

I think you may find this normal ,as after 3000RPM not enough time is available to make any more than "one" big spark, so you only get the multiple discharge at lower RPM.
