nice work , i like the wheels is that a different stud pattern to standard ?
also on the n a block what mods are needed to go run the turbo ?
is it simple bolt on with decomp plate , as the na motors are abundant and alot cheaper.

cheers

stud pattern is HQ. Use turbo pistons and nissan turbo head gasket not a decomp plate

Love the brakes. Iv been thinking of a Willwood set up for years but never did it, maybe in the future.
What willwood set up have you got? What are the part numbers of the calipers, hubs, hats and discs, and what size discs??
Awsome :spoton:

it depends on how much power you want to make. if your happy with around 450rwhp, you can use factory crank, and rods but will need forged pistons and the single cam head will be fine. if you want more power then rods will need upgrade and youll start spending money on the head. have a look on the calais forum for all the info on single and twin cam heads. there are a few 8 second single cam VLs about now and the untubed car of maatouks racing has gone 8.2 on a 10inch slick.
Also its a clutch assisted G-force 4 speed dog box
my engine made 460rwhp, head was just tidied up and with standard valves, reground camshaft and new springs, the new combo will have race portwork and race spec hydralic cam and 1mm oversize valves.
Cars are making over 800RWhp with single cam heads. Maatouks VL has gone 8.2 its probally near 1000hp with single cam head

next issue off ZOOM magazine is the one to get its got the RB30 lc from perth thats run 9.1 will be a good read

Bart
the Wilwood brake kits i got are front kit
http://www.vpw.com.a...mp;ProdID=55619

just need to make a new bracket to mount the front caliper

rear
http://www.vpw.com.a...mp;ProdID=55585

no mods needed for the rear

Yes bart
bearings are same size, hubs and rotors go straight on. front rotors are only 275mm, rears are bigger 290mm, caliper are same just a spacer on front calipers to suit the ventered rotors, ill fix the over rear braking with a wilwood Proportioning Valve. there is a larger front kit but my car is Drag orientated and only running 15 inch rims so i went this front kit as needs to fit under 15s and be rather light weight

As for the chassis Ill be fitting a cro-molly roll cage that will tighten and strengthen the car and provide safety. rear control arms will be Mcdonald bros and QA1 double adjustable coilovers

Bart front calipers 120-6816
rear calipers 120-6818

rears are thiner as running thinner rotors on rear as fronts are vented
