I'd be happier if the paint was a bit better(home job, I haven't sprayed a car in 20 years), its not bad but you sort of wana make it perfect, but to make it perfect you have to pay a beater, not in the budjet yet maybe at the end of the year, everything else is new. Plus I'm on the look out for a SS Hatch. Always wanted a Black SS hatch.

i just read this thread, and thanks for the advertisement..im glad they fit !

Your car has certainly come along way, i think you've done a good job, considering as you say you havent paint in 20 years...

I think you should be proud of your efforts

It took 4 months to strip it to bare metal. Luckly the was F*&all rust, only 6 million coats of paint, the right rear quarter has a knock in its early years, one day i wil find a new one and have it put on, it will do for now! Want to start on the sons car, soon. got a quote on exhaust $390.00 with redback mufflers. Anyone got them? What do they sound like? Got a 28 day permit over the phone! Didn't know you could do that! to take it down to get exhaust done. can't wait to give it a spin. Maybe tuesday. Gota fit the fuel line, which was a prick to get but finally got one! It is absolutely pissin down here, all of Victorias last two months rain in one day.

Boomfunk they are good, just a bit of a trim.

I run redback mufflers on a twin 2.5" system, they are loud and well over the 97dB allowed for rego purposes but nice..CAE extractors. Depends if your son is likely to get pulled by the coppers. They tend to leave me alone, well so far - fingers crossed.

On another note, if you take a buff (white rouge/compound) to those rims it will make a huge difference to them and the car :)

Cheers
