Does anyone know where I can get a smaller pulley from that will turn the water pump and alternator at a slower speed ?

Harrop used to make ones for alternators, maybe still does.

I was thinking of the lower pulley, this would slow both the water pump and alternator down.

V belt or gilmer?

Just running the standard V Belt, I've had no troubles with the V Belt, so I'd rather keep it as simple as I can, I keep the rpm's to 7000 and it doesn't have a belt driven fan so I can't see any reason to change.

yeah harrop still do make pulley, not long ago i priced some up, they come with a decent price tag. local machine shops can make that sort of stuff quite easliy and prob bit cheaper. just give them a sample, an old pulley then tell them you want it at X diameter and done.

All I would do is change the alt pulley for a larger diameter Ford one.
Running the water pump at 1:1 is optimum, I wouldn't want to slow it down.

I had a smaller accessory pulley made to take some load of the engine when the air con is on.
Guy charged me $100.00, he said it should have been $300.00+ for the time alone but did me a favour.

Got the ratio down to 1to1 instead of overdriven.
His turner did a great job, with heaps of detail and reduced its weight significantly.

i found slowing the accesorys did make a difference to my car, engine reved a little easier, and the cooling system seemed to work better when lapping the local race track(thats why i did it) downside to it, was alternator charge at idle, struggles but still ok, temp creeps up little easier at idle when i was on car cruises. but both probs havent caused me any probs yet.
