I remember 1972 pretty well I was about 11 years old, My Dad had a LC Torana 4 DOOR Big 161 3 speed on the tree! i also remember one Sunday in October that year it was raining and I was watching on TV, a car race at Bathurst !

What I saw was another Torana which was driven on a wet track and it was in front of a Falcon and on his way to victory! From that day on I became a Brock / Torana fan So to celebrate Brocks first win here is a illustration from that day!

Thank the lord we had the hatchback to show we were not totally fashion tasteless in the 70's. I cant stop laughing at the flared jeans. Disco and bell bottoms. My god fashion faux pas, at least we still had the mini skirt and camel toe hotpants.
