The main prob is that Simon has put loads of time and effort into the car.
From the V6 to the commodore seat, and back to the BW it's all class.
It is a ridgy didge 202 SS in Papaya. Hopefully it can be saved!!

I have calmed down a bit now and i am feeling a little more postive at least all the stone chips will be gone, the font spoiler crack free and the front bar rechomed and mint condition.
Good News at last claim lodged, The insurance company LSV (formely vigil) was more than helpful and were truly sympathetic to my predicament.
I definately have salvage rights to the car and i retian the wreck at no cost if it comes to it the panel shop is hopeful/confident this wont happen, It is is safe hands down at Hiland smash, there is no less than three other hatches in the shop getting the full treatment.....Hatchback heaven.
Apart from the obvious panel repair the car will need a new front seat as it was bent in the accident and full respray do i need to paint it another colour? green seems to be unlucky, any ideas on a lucky one?
As for the 4 door upgrade suggestion....i dont want a taxi thanks

It does seem that green cars are run into quite often...
No taxis!

Yella seems fairly lucky, but maybe too close to taxi colour also.
Time is a good healer, glad to hear your getting it back together. Good luck with the wedding also.

Sorry to hear about your lovely machine and I hope it can be repaired back to its former glory
I've got a tow-bar and ball on mine as a "just incase" I get a rear ender but I think with the force she hit you, a tow-bar wouldn't of been much help.
As for the "can see it coming for miles" colour, Mandarin Red is not too bad and it basically sticks out like dog-balls although I don't really go around looking at 'em

Glad your ok Simon and wish you all the best in getting it repaired back to as good a condition as it was or better. A very fine machine it was.
As for green being unlucky, it is well know that a lot of racers won't drive or build green race cars as it's considered unlucky. It would be interesting to know how that myth started? The colour you have is fairly unique on a Torrie so I'd keep it the same.

heheh how about metallic Papaya with SS stripes and blackouts? Almost original but with something a bit more interesting than the normApart from the obvious panel repair the car will need a new front seat as it was bent in the accident and full respray do i need to paint it another colour?

I don't think bright colours help. My car has always been a bright colour and with those huge UC tailights I still got rear ended years ago (not bad though, just a tap). I will install a high mount tail light though, just for peace of mind.

This happened near Tims at Campbelltown didnt it? My brother said he drove past it when it happened.
Also, green may be unlucky, but looked great on your car. Don't go back to papaya IMO. The hothouse looked fantastic!

Kelly asks if Sarah has chosen a colour for the bridesmaids dresses yet?
Your dad's car will go with the fella's suits, so she gets to decide which colour to paint your car

I am trying to convince her that people don't look at the fact that the car and dresses wont match, if they are blokes they see "Nice car mate" and if they are girls they only see "Thats a pretty Dress" Thats the line i am spinning so fars its working.....sort of.....not really
