Tim fitted the power steering pump, lines & belt. Because I have a Gilmer the fit up was not straight forward at all.
The pump is from a VH Commodore, as the bracket mounts on the passenger side, and if I used V belts the fit-up would have been straight forward, but why do things the easy way when there is a harder way to go about it.

Tim first cut a chunk out of the mounting bracket, and braced it for added strength.

The pulley still needed to move towards the pump about another 15mm, this is how he went about it.

Cleaned up the pulley.

Put it in the lathe, and started scoring the outer off.

Cut a piece of tube and TIG welded it on.

And did the same for the V-belt section of the pulley.

Pressed it back on to the pump.

Cleaned the whole lot up.

Bit of paint.

Now it lines up & fits beautifully.

If anyone is considering this mod with a Gilmer, you also need to pack out the water pump pulley 16mm (the width of the alloy V-belt pulley on the crank), you will also need to pack out the Alternator to line the belt back up, Tim used Alloy spacers that he made. I used one of diecrest's bolt up kits (yeah right, "BOLT UP").
Spacers for the Alternator.
