Hi all, not much has been happening with the SS, but I have been doing little bits n bobs.

Bought a sheet of ply, & started to cut it up into some familiar shapes.

Then recovered some with vinyl & carpet.

Bit of a trial fit just to see how things are going,

Posted Image

Posted Image

Happy with that, so time for paint.

Posted Image

Refitted the carpet, looks good but don’t like the style of the hatch carpet, will call Boom Funk later & buy a split original type.

While I was at it I cleaned and painted these.

Been playing with the tank as well.

Thanks Chris, its pretty big,

Cheers Stav, bet you had to dig pretty deep in the forum to find this. Lol

The car is up at Dirtbag's at the moment, I sent it to him in the hope to finish it in time for Toranafest, but the wheels are holding me up, they are still in the US, so maybe I will drive it down there next year.

I'll see if I can upload some pics over the weekend :)

Hanging to see this one done especially with those wheels, love the pro touring look. Plus hatch back toranas are the greatest car ever produced in Australia (and I'm a Mopar guy) it's looking good dude..

hi mate,
just read from start to finish and awsome looking car. Your dash looks great, I have just ordered some door trims through dash original and can't wait to get them, but may have to get the dash done too after seeing that!
cheers Dan

I'll post a couple of pics of the firewall mods. Gained an extra 50mm of clearance.

Posted Image

Choppy choppy : )

Posted Image

I cut through the seam where the floor meets the firewall, so after reshaping the firewall to it's new location I could weld the fllor back to the firewall from the outside. Hard to explain, but if you do this yourself you'll see what I mean : )

Some etch primer then stone guard and it's not too obvious.

Posted Image

Quite a lot of room in there now.

Posted Image

This is all you can see of it from inside. It's been cleaned and etch primed.

Posted Image

The other side is done now too.

Yeah its not far off now Marcus, what I wanted to do was drive down to Toranafest, but the wheels and a diff rebuild have held the car up. Had an email from Boze (wheel people) the wheels are finished and ready to be shipped, the diff will be finished next week, so at a guesstimate I'd say Tim would be taking it on its first test drive in about three weeks, . :-)

Went up to Tim's (dirtbag) the other day, dropped a few things off and took a few photos....... Awesome..... :spoton:

Posted Image

Tim also has a regular visitor, a Python, we went to see if he was there but he wasn't, well part of him was there. :D

Posted Image

Tim's hand in the snake skins mouth. the snake is about 3 meters long.

Posted Image

Any way going to Tims again in the morning (Saturday), and do a bit of work on the car, I'll take more photos, hopefuly with the car on the ground, want to see how she looks at ride height. :D

Paul.
