Very impressive build! Top job. Makes my UC to LX conversion look like a slight alteration!

Cool as ride.
What else has dirtbag done aside from increasing the space?

Hi Burty, doing what your doing is by no means a slight alteration, :) as I started with an LX and ended up with an LX, mission accomplished :spoton:

Thanks Emu, I appreciate the kind words, sorry mate I dont understand what you mean by increasing the space. do you mean the bigger workshop?

Here's some photos of a few things that Tim has done.

This is the snake that shead its skin (see the previous photos) the other day.

Posted Image

Removing the diff from his diff transport vehicle.

Posted Image

Tim welded and tidied up some areas that would have been ok but wanted them to be better.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Then the fun for him realy started, cause his secret passion is painting. :stirpot:

Posted Image

Posted Image

And sanding, he loves sanding :D

Posted Image

For it to end up like this

Posted Image

With a smudge, should buff out. :)

Posted Image

Well thats the diff painted, Thanks Tim, I appreciate the effort.

Well, I went to Tim's again this morning, to put the diff in and turn the hatch into a roller again. :D

Posted Image

We then put the wheels on and sat it on the ground.

Posted Image

We gave it a tub, the first wash its had since I have owned it :spoton:

Posted Image

We rolled it out for a bit of a photo shoot.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Pushed it back inside, and popped it on the hoist and put the rear swaybar on.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And that is where she sits now, ready for a few more little jobs to be completed.

Posted Image

And this is the Fat Fella and his Car. :nudie:

Cheers Paul.

Yeah I hope to be enjoying driving it soon, still a few little things to finish off but not long now.

Cheers Paul.

Thanks Tony, would be good to have the choice of the hatch or HB to drive and not just the HB. :) A Black & white Hatchfest at Lakeside, hell yeah, that would be good. :D

Tim started on the power steering that I picked up from Lenny (axistr) what a top bit of gear this is. :spoton:

Old rack (Reco, never used) and power rack.

Posted Image

Tim said it was a little fiddly room wise around the steering coupling.

Posted Image

Posted Image

New rack in place, he just needs to mount the power steer pump and measure for new lines, sweet

Cheers Paul.
