DUB Just to clear up the accident thing as I actually saw it (chinese whispers are truly amazing!)
4 guys in a Gemini sedan on last bit of Anketell Rd heading towards the 'Plex (so NOT kicked out), hit the last round-a-bout just before the 'Plex's entrance waaay too fast and lost the back end. Shot across the island after the round-a-bout, started to roll, collided with a Van coming from direction of 'Plex, continued to completely roll and finished up back on wheels facing opposite direction. 3 guys were already out within 10 seconds, last guy behind driver had to be cut out. All were conscious but in severe shock, and driver and rear passenger covered in blood.
Probably a rush of blood on the drivers account before just getting to the event as I'd been heading in the same direction along the freeway along side them from just before Leach Hwy with no stupid driving for that whole time, but horrific crash and very surprised no-one died. Guy in the van was so unlucky and had nowhere to go, but extremely lucky to get out of it with only a scratch on the hand.
Fire department were there before I got off the phone to emergency services, Police and ambulance very shortly after (came from 'Plex I believe)

Motorvation used to be good. I took my five year old son and found myself explaining to him why people were fighting, yelling naughty words out and why people keep running into him spilling beer....need I say more, I have been going since it was at Claremont Show grounds and am doubting I will go back next year. Why sell beer in pint cups and why the need to get pissed at midday is beyond me. The united nations security at the event was real good. I found myself asking people in the elite hall on the other side of chains if it was their car they were sitting in or touching. Yes it did happed to which I was politely told f** off, which pleased me even more with my son hearing it.... Great event if you want to get pissed and act like cave men. Not surprised you had your sign stolen a proportion of people there are usualy the pissed idiots I am locking up on a friday night....just my 2 cents.

Sorry to hear that mate but I don't think any of us want to be in a situation thats full of drunks esp with our cars. HP and alcohol do not mix, its about time these organisers realised this.
How did you fare this year in the judging? From memory you came away with top honours last year? or at least something major.

I have said it at Summernats, its high time security started to protect our cars, seems its the same all over.
To be fair I had two huge bouncers escort my car from the track after the Supercruise and these guys were not mucking around with the crowd, they just moved them in whatever way was required lol I appreciated that because thats one of the most worrying times for me.
Getting back to the thread, its high time security in general was raised to a higher level.
I really feel for you 2Wild4U mate.

err i dunno if i wanna go into elite hall you can't do diddly squat i was there all weekend got plenty of pics drove the club van around alot but the security guards where stuck up there bum... the anti fag club kept me up till 4 am with there god damn burnouts and they're constant oooh i have a loud engine lets rev it so the whole of the god damn plex can hear then do stupid shit and get kicked out f*cking morons... i really feel sorry for the security guards they had theyre buggys tipped over and coped alot of shit but oh well that's they're problem....
p.s. i had my revenger sorry to the owner of the white supra that parked out the front of our marquee i put a 2l bottle of coke filled with water down your exhaust

We didnt keep you up until 4am with burnouts, the Supra burnout was the last one, at about 12:30.
