Aggro is gonna get its first track outing besides powercruise (where you cant go fast through the corners cause of the drag styles cars) i've got just under 6 weeks to get it prepped and make a few changes.

Anyone else going?

I just had a look and it seems to be organised by Queensland Raceway - here's a link:

Lakeside Sprints

When I get going again, I'd be willing to go for a trip up there as its an awesome track - even if its only a sprint!

Rod its run by AASA. All the details are on the queensland raceway website under the 2009 calender, you can download an entry form from there. Its 150 for the day plus annual licence is 50 (once only cost obviously) or day licence for 20.

Sam, when do you think you'll get going again? Would be awesome to see your beast out on track and to have you up here!

Cheers mate, I'm still working away at it, at this stage I've got to wait for the cage guy to give me a hand and panel shop to have time to finish the panel work and paint it, aiming for the middle of this year but in reality I think probably more towards the end...

However long it takes it should be worth it, and I just cant wait to take it to as many tracks as I can and make the most of it!

lol before i read your reply kev i was thinkin ill say its closer to him than Morgan Park.

Sam, there are rounds in the street series on Aug 30 and Oct 18, the open series on Aug 2, Sep 27 and nov 22
and mid week sprints (thursdays) on Aug 20, Oct 15 and Dec 10

I will be trying to attend all 5 sprint series rounds and maybe some of the others this year and then if the bug bites hard, start work on a dedicated car.

Dont worry, it will bit hard...... it always does... :D

Yeah im so glad they reopened the place - apparently is very fast and flowing - and scary! A good lap requires a fairly large pair...

On GP bikes, Lakeside had the highest average constant speed of Aussie tracks...it's fast alright.

*gulp* gee thanks guys your making me feel confident considering its my first real time out. I've done a few laps of qr before with not many cars on the track. Oh well i'll just feel it out and drive where i'm comfortable and to how the car feels.

last year there was no water in the lake... I believe it looks more healthy these days.

This is the last car I had the fortune to have a drive at Lakeside. Before that it was a L34 in Phillips colours. I was lucky to be the best mate to a young driver who's mum supplied us a nice budget to get the cars out there.

Hey good luck Aggro :) I sort of envy you doing this. Take it easy pal no red mist lol says me who finds the mist pretty often lol. Word of advice, bank your first run at the very least, better to finish than not to :)

Cheers
Herne
