Ok status report: track has mostly been resurfaced now, looks and feels great. Lots of grip. Big dip into the kink on the straight and a few bumps through carousel. But still has that feeling from touring car racing in the 80's and 90's (thats all i remember sorry)
First two sessions had the bus stop included. Now that is fun! I liked that. But loved the flat out run without it. I did a 1:29 first run just getting used to everything and how the car reacted on the track. Second session i knocked that down to a 1:25. Then the afternoon runs were without the bus stop. I did a 1:16 in run 3 and i set myself a goal to do a 1:15. I did two in run 4, both high and two very low 16's so it was consistent. Just need more speed through carourel and the loop.
Car ran faultlessly all day. No leaks or anything. Had a few tail happy moments. It was great. And i loved every minute of it. Was good to chat to a few guys out there. And also thanks to everyone for coming down to show some support.
And Rory, thanks for that tip about the kink. Really helped. Cant wait for the next one!
