That is a very tidy LC 2 door, you dont see many with black trim, I have recently finished restoring my 2 door LC, Olive green with glacier white roof, done almost the same as what your doing to yours :spoton:

Hi, thanks, do you have pics of your car? would be keen to see them,

Here are some up to date pics, the rear springs are standard, probably sagged a little.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image<a href="http://s284.photobuc...t=IMGP2873.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://cache.gmh-to...n/IMGP2873.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>Posted Image

Progress has been slow on my white LC as I've just bought a new house.

Motor is out and is currently at Brinks performance for rebuild. using current 186 block, 3.3 black motor crank and rods, romac balancer,

Car is stripped down for some very minor panel work and a fresh coat of Glacier white, no surprises the body is super clean, has a small repair over passenger side tail light, with about 2 mm of filler over it, which had cracked. Doors and all other panels are clean and rust free.

Car will be de badged.

You going to change the door mirrors, would suit the car more with just the round lc mirror on the driver's side..preety sure you can get new one from rare spares now.

Other than that I like everything about the car, damn nice car!!!,

I reckon, don't really need to see who you just passed anyway,

The mirrors that were on it are now in the parts shelf of the shed, maybe for another project later

Hi All, ,

Thanks for the replies,

Car is in spray putty at the moment, blocked it back yesterday, just need to add top coat now. I've been slack, I'll post some pics. Didn't need a lot doing to the body, couple of slight dings in passenger side door and rear beaver had a slight touch.

Engine is back from machine shop, this week, after a long time away.

Machine shop had never seen an old school 12 port red head conversion and were intrigued. Motor will be running at 10.2 to 1 comp, nice cam, black motor crank, black rods, blue flywheel running 2 dowels (black crank has 1 in stock form) romac balancer Exedy clutch, balance, YT roller rockers, Manley push rods. The block is the same one that was in the car, block says 186, but total cubes is just under 210.

Dropped th 3.9 LSD in yesterday and steam cleaned under the car, very clean underneath, not a spec of rust, really happy with the car big thanks to id09s.

Thanks Heath, the old 4 barrel will look good on there , was going to run triple strombergs, but change of plan and using holley.

Will post some pics tonight

Regards Simon

Good to hear. It is nice when a simple respray is just that, without heaps of hidden nasties.

Absolutely, car has all original rust free floors as well, was well worth spending a little more to get a good shell.

No uglies under the paint, minimal filler, primer and a little spray putty in places,
