looking good simon,

the car looked way to good to repaint, but you may aswell recolour it in your favorite combo,i think the convo,s will look sweet, but i also like sprintmasters.

dellortos fill the engine bay, they look fully sick mate.

cheers craig.

Hi Craig,

Many thanks, yes I do like triples in the bay. If the budget goes that far, I'll grab some Convos,

Thinking I'll drop the motor out and paint the bay as well,

After rego, I'll fit ram tubes and foam, in place of the filters,

Regards Simon

The bay was the thing that let that car down in my eyes. It would look so nice if it was blasted and repainted

Those Ramflo filters are pretty crap. Arent they really thick foam? Had a mate that had one on his 13B and just free revving the engine used to suck the filter right down. It was quite restrictive and went quite a bit better when you took the filter off

Hi Brad,

Yes, bay needs some work that's for sure, as you know, totally agree. I just sanded and painted over what was there, but I should have spent more time on it.

The Ramflo were the only filter I could fit, the rear carb sits quite close to the chassis rail. My roadworthy guy says he can't pass it (first time rego in QLD) without filters, so this was the only choice.

They're kinda ugly as well,

The battery will also end up in the boot I am thinking, currently has XU-1 type tray in the bay,

Regards Simon

Yes, I'm thinking so, should be quite good. I notice the difference running the motor with those air cleaners and then removed,Might just be me, but seems more responsive with no air cleaners.

Hey Simon – Any updates on the Lc? was feeling a little nostalgic and trawling through old topics, reminiscing about the one that got away!
