Racing Friday (Waitangi Day), Saturday and Sunday
There are a few cars wanting to challenge my mates XU-1 (my mate built the car and now looks after it) which is driven by Anton Stevens. It hasn't been on this circuit for a few years so its going to be interesting. This is the big classic event for the South Island and there will be a good selection of 60's and 70's cars.
I am taking the video camera and hope to get some good footage which i will post on youtube.

Here it is, this is the giant killer from NZ.
Quite possibly the fastest XU1 in existance that is still N/A.
Before the engine was pulled down Anton raced one of the Central Musclecars, a Mustang that is reported to have 560HP and beat it 3 from 4 races. It has recieved a lot of interest about what has been done to it but all I can tell you is its not stroked and it is a 202/3.3. Oh by the way it still has all the seats except the 2 front are race seats and even still has the interior door panels. One of things I hear a lot is that it sits high but its very quick.
I hope you enjoy the sound and the looks

Below is a very original XU1 thats has done quite a bit of racing.
Under the covers is a Blue LJ XU1

These 2 are fairly potent XU1s and very well presented for race cars.

One of the Tom Walkinshaw Bathurst Jags

Jim Richards original Group C 635CSI which was converted to Group A

This is a Stanton special with an air cooled Tiger Moth engine which is supercharged with a huge SU sidedraught and the rear drive is chain driven!
