Bought one of these after seeing it and the footage from Noosa..its amazing...sucsion cups onto anything and being wide angle you get all the scenery...if you place it on the rear drivers side door window you can clearly see the driver in action..

Nice work R. It looks a bit like the one Tiny was using at WSID the other night. I saw some ( Youtube ) footage and it looks OK. Night vision is a bit of a problem but daytime is awesome.

Tis exactly the camera i've got, but that does not look like the wide angle version that i bought!
I'm considering the normal one in teh future too! theyre VERY well priced!

THe suction cup mount is absolutely fantastic... i watched one of these cameras rip the wing off a porsche on a high speed run down conrod straight... fly off into the air... and land on teh ground.. camera still attached and in-tact!

These are fantastic and if youve got a dedicated car that you use it with alot there are some awesome permanent mounts that come with it too!

You'll love it Rory!

I bought one when i did the bathurst run 2 years back.

Great vision, shit to no sound.
Thought we had a dud and had it replaced, but same story on the next one.

Good cheap easy footage though.

Welby...Alan Mc had the same problem...set the sound to Low...fixes it.
This Noosa run up has it set on Low.

This is the run with sound set at High which is the shit feedback you are getting.

I was not allowed to run with mine at Sandown during the historic meet running in regularity if it protruded out the side. It is NOT allowed to protrude out the side at all. Can have it inside or on the roof or on the front headlamp, etc.

For the price of the GoPro you can buy a mini handicam which will record better quality video and sound.

Yes Andy, we are still looking for some better quality stuff.

When we bought ours the guy had brought the first lot into the country, for $ 80 including a 2g card, it was a bargain. That's why i never chased fixing the sound. We ran it on the first day, changed it over the next morning, no better and i've put up with it ever since.

Would like something a bit better for this year's Targa.
