Hey Denis! - Thanks mate
Bit more tuning ( Now i wish i kept the 4.11s i got from you!) and mid-low 11s should be in the bag
(Not bad for a heavy car and heavier driver!)
Sorry em
Hey Tiny, Ive got some 4:11's sitting around doing nothing, you're welcome to use them to test the ET ( if you want ).
Let me know and I'll drop them off for you.
Cheers

We took the car for a cruise today.... 300Kms.... 75 Litres............
We met at Uncle Leos Liverpool, Drive down through Bowral and to the Robertson Pie Shop for Brekky, then down to the Illawarra Fly Treetop walk!
What a spectacular day!
We then went down to geroa to the geroa fishos club for a feed (which was reasonable.. but nothing to write home about), and then cruised home!!
If i tried that with the 4.11s... I'd be stuffed! BUT... if i want the time... I'm going to have to bite the bullet!
Thanks again John!

John! Thanks for the offer mate! I *MIGHT* take you up on that some time!!

That's exactly the reason that I changed from 4:11's to 3:70's. Not a huge diffrence in the RPM but it made the car a touch better to cruise. With 3:70's, I can now cruise at 95kmh @ 3000 rpm. Im still under the cam and no real risk of damage. With 4:11's it was revving at 3500 and the cam wanted to play

You're call mate, if you want to chase down an ET on July 5 then the 4:11's are there for you. Me, Im over it. I dont want to squeeze any more out of the L34, its time to move onto a real Drag Car. I'll tell you more when I see you next.
Yell out mate.
Cheers

I hear what you're saying mate!
We took the car for a cruise to the Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk last weekend which was a 300Km round trip...
Even with the 3.7s in it... it was a borderline pig to drive!
I drove it to work today (needed to), and she's running a bit rough, so i think it's time to rip off the rocker covers, Check tappets and give it an oil change and thorough check over before the drag day.
THat's the No 1 problem with the car.... i do both! And i dont want to sacrifice streetability for ET! ( But i *AM* thinking about it to see what she's capable of!)
Thanks again for the offer mate, I really appreciate it!

I Just received an awesome little parcel in the post from Wot179, He was going through some old photos and came across a picture of TINY back somewhere around 1990-1992 at summernats!
He was kind enough to send me the picture and it really was interesting to me!
Thanks again WOT179, It's really appreciated mate!
Here's the "BEFORE" picture (and well and truly before!!)

Might be just me, but I didnt think you were old enought to have a car at the nats in the early 90s?, I figure you would have been about 10-12 then?

I bought the car in march 1999 and only drove it for a few months before i decided to pull it off the road for "a little work"...
10 years later... well.. you've all seen the "after pics"
The things i can pick from the photo:
CHV-400 Plates - still on hold from the RTA
No numberplate surrounds when i bought it
No tunnel ram and twin predators (Unfortunately!!!)
Summernats is still full of bogans.
No MSD mounted on the firewall in that photo - was there when i bought the car however!
It's running a throttle linkage setup rather than a pull cable.. when i bought the car it was a (buggered!!) cable
Interior is the same
Wheels are the same
Summernats is *still* full of bogans.
Lights cut into the inner guards are still there but i removed the lenses and just have been too lazy to put them back.. ( bloody 5w wedge base globes... why bother!!)
Grille and headlight guards now painted aluminium colour.
Alloy cage has been replaced with steel half cage.
And.... I think the summernats is STILL full of VB drinking Bogans!
But what a great picture

Thanks for the comments guys
