Any thoughts of going back to White?
I'd like a White one.....
Not in the foreseeable future. All spare funds these days are headed towards my HQ coupe resto.
Plus I quite like the orange, it looks real nice out in the sun.

White is good. Paint it the original colour.

i got my original engine number the car was sold & where it was sold new from a guy here in W.A. who knows someone in S.A. who does not want to be identified

Hungus - the numbers look good to me. Would be nice to see some pics of the overall car. Colour could be anything but if they stuck to colours of the period could be sebring or saffron. There are a number of people who have the list of car details for the l34 which would give you the original engine number for the car - some of these people are on this forum - hopefully they can let you know although not sure if that is much use. Are you planning on bringing it to Phillip Island for the classic car racing / L34 get together? Strongly recommend you do as you will get info you need plus nodoubt heaps of other info.
