Pics look good, twin point dizzy (is it real or a fake? do the two coil leads actually work?), etc. has it got L34 rockers? Have you had the carby of it? Manifold looks good! Heads? Does it have L34 HM Headers? Its got the choke cable But isn't it meant to have a Quaddy? If it was July 74 shouldn't it have the MPH on the speedo aswell? Whan did they stop that? No console!! Is that a Holley 750? What is the date on the front of the big Nut on the Master cylinder?
Car looks Awsome.
In my opinion who cares about the engine number. If it was a race block they were not issued a engine number!(Right?) some race guru will tell me for sure. Did L34's have higher bump stops on the diff housing?

g'day Darren' all l34s left the factory with manual choke quadies but there were many carb options from the dealer, such as a 4165 650d/p holley with side hung floats so the factory aircleaner would fit, 4165 800 d/p 780vac sec and the racing centre hung float models & open type aircleaners, so a date or period correct holley is an ok item to have on a l34. the speedo should be kms only on a july l34. cheers gary

Thanks mate, glad you like it.
Just went out and took some more pix will upload in a minute, I had a look at the number on the big nut on the master cylinder and it says 1H5P. Twin coil dizzy is legit and works, It sure does have the original HM headers and there car does have roller rockers made by Crane, I would have absolutely no clue if they are original or not. Carby as far as I know is a 650 DP but I wouldn't know how to tell if it really is or not.
Stand by for more pix!

Hi mate the only spot where I can see any other colour is in the engine bay where it has flaked off to reveal what I assume to be the original Glacier White underneath.

If the car was sold with no engine number then it wouldent really matter would it??
Cheers.
It wouldn't have been sold with no engine number, that info will be off the original maintenance records. The engine number would have been recorded if the car was bought back to a dealer for warranty or servicing. If it never went back to a dealer then the number wouldn't have been recorded. The original engine number it left the factory with MAY be on the original build records, sometimes they aren't recorded though. The LC/LJ records getting around on CD are also maintenance records, not build records AFAIK.

What is the significance of the numbers stamped onto the master cylinder bolt? Is it a item production date or something else entirely?
production date

G day Gary, has yours got a Quady? When did they stop using the Mph and Kph on the speedo's, it must have been for only a two months or so then? Has yours got roller bridge's or roller rockers? What do you think about the car? Does it seem all correct to you? Why would the big nut date stamp be a year or so different?
Darren
