gutters can be done with a bottle cap opener with rag against the trim so it doesnt dent.

I use michelin bicycle tyre levers. They're 25mm wide and yellow. Cost a couple of bucks from bike shops. Still use a rag between the trim and the paint too.

Geez mine just rolled off piss easy from the under side up
but then again have been off probly a couple of times
& have lost a bit of tension. & the door & 1/4 windows
just used a narrow flat blade scaper & a rag to pop them
off the clips.
Just go easy with them, hard to find good replacements today.

on the lastest clasic resto's (channel 31 in vic) fletch was interviewing this bloke who fixes trims. he went through the process of re-straitening a stip of a panel. he talks a little bit about removing trim and he said hes happy to speak to anyone who needs help removing it. i didnt see a number or anything, but i did miss the first few minutes. the show is repeated a couple times a week in vic dont know about other states. its a good show if you dont watch it check it out.

This is the tool that was used to remove the stainless trim from the drip rail
Its one of those things in my tool box that is real hard to work out what is for
unless you've seen it before ...think thats why I bought it :spoton:
It sat on a shelf at a tool store for so long it went rusty when i asked the store
owner did he have such a tool he said now where is that tool? it was hanging
over there many years ago but i think i sold it, we walked over to where he
said it used to be and amazing it was still there at yesterdays price so......
i had to have it

Hi,
I can put a pic up of the factory GM tool.
Looks like a bent bit of flat bar with a padded bit
to protect the stainless, you might be able to make
1 up.
I'll need to get on the other PC for this so I'll do it tonight.

Cheers Jono

Here ya go'
Got it out of a HQ factory service manual.
Bit of flat bar an oxy & a bit rubber would probably
do the job. Sorry havnt learnt to resize pics yet.

Cheers Jono
