I've been emailing a fella that I bought something from on Upay and he is putting together information and pics to publish a book on the Sandman Panelvans and Utes.
He is very interested in getting pics of any Sandman Panelvans especially one called the Sea Witch that was a Holden show car, a Sandman dressed up with mural of a woman's face on one side, used in a lot of Holden advertising back in those days ) parked on beach, with bikini girls etc.
He would also like some photos of the Ffffford Sundowner and Chrysler Difter.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks .............. Barry

I also know of a Papaya HX Sandman van that was a GMH test vehicle (and stamped as such on the cowl) that I think was an ex motor show exhibit. I have photos of it here somewhere too.
I also hope that he's not plagarising when he writes his book. The only known "published" source of Sandman facts I know of is on my website.

There also wouldn't be too many HQ Sandman vans with gills behind the doors like in the brochure. These disappeared early 1974 and HQ Sandman was only released in January 1974.
I wish I'd had a girl as hot as the one in the back of that HZ van in the back of my van when I was a kid! What is it behind her in the photo? Looks like a Saskwatch!

I think I have a Motor magazine from the late 70's that pitted the HZ Sandman against the Drifter and Sundowner.
I also know of a Papaya HX Sandman van that was a GMH test vehicle (and stamped as such on the cowl) that I think was an ex motor show exhibit. I have photos of it here somewhere too.

I've had that brochure for years, and until it was on this thread I never noticed "humpme" behind her. Probably too distracted by her.
