a bypass valve like this: http://www.yellaterr...egoryIdentity=5 could solve your problems.

there is a guy who lives around here who plays with superchargers all the time, he only uses LPG, his wife has a morrie on gas with a sc14 on a startfire 4, the blower is switched on that one from a switch on the dash, they only use it when its needed.
he also has a buick roadster pick up, he goes by the name buickroadster on forums, his buick has a valiant 265 with a big m112 eaton and offcourse LPG.
here is a motor he recently built for a vauxhall,

its a m90 on gas, it had to be fitted above the motor to fit under the narrow hood.
he is a bit of guru on fitting superchargers with gas to 4's and 6's

ey,
doing some reading on bypass valves...This site quotes that

It opens on throttle lifts, preventing a big pressure build-up between the supercharger and the throttle. (In this respect its like a turbo blow-off valve, but in the case of a positive displacement supercharger, the pressure build-up when the throttle is closed can be very high in fact, high enough to stop the supercharger and slip it against its belt drive.)

hmm.. sounds ALOT like whats going on with mine and would explain it.

Yea oldjohnno, when the BOV vac nipple was connected to the vac line, i think it was actuating on idle, but you right its noisy!! it was making a ridiculously loud sound i shut it off straight away, like a higher pitched sound that the s/c makes without its pipes, ill have to get a mate over and try again, and see a) if pulley gets hot B) if BOV will actuate c) if bov actuates that s/c pulley gets hot, then finally if it doesnt then tune the BOV &or look for a better plumb back style BOV or bypass like J-Rod found. Either way if thats the sound it will make it will definantly have to be plumbed back, the bov is loud as hell, but almost not in a good way. Will post up again when i give it another go.

Cheers FCCOOL, i have come across that vid before, nice setup, he might just be the guy to speak to if i get completely stuck! Nice setup you've got too, saw it in another thread

Plumbing the BOV back to the blower intake will reduce but not eliminate the noise. I'd still be inclined to just remove it and fit a second butterfly to the blower intake. Even a biggish BOV will have some amount of pressure drop and therefore be drawing some horsepower. Fitting something like a throttle body from a wrecked EFI car (of around say 60-65mm) would be fairly easy and would give you instant response, no noise and the best cruise performance.

I connected it all up this afternoon and ran it with the manifold vac connected to the BOV and it seemed to idle fine, BOV actauted nicely & the pulley doesnt smoke either, gets luke warm but ill keep an eye on that. Thoi am not able to drive it yet because the bov is always open at idle, you can hear the loud whipper snipper type noise from the blower out of the bov. Will be getting a plumb back adaptor for it and runnig the bov back to the intake, but agreed oldjohnno, it probably wont kill all the noise and you've convinced me, that i will eventually look around at a few wreckers for a throttle body i can use, would still have the bov there though just for the arse cover.

Ok guys!! finally got it running!! here are the vids!! turn it up!
Though it does badly need a good dyno tune, seems to be flat spotting above 10 inhg and onto boost, havnt driven it yet but you can tell in the vid.
I have plumbed back the bov as you can tell in the photos. Its still pretty damn loud. The plumb back piping and hosing was pretty fiddly but got it to work. Its running infront of the radiator and in through the holes to the sides of the headlights.
