Watching some of budgie's antics and seeing the after effects of the gas inhaling incident I decided whilst he was here imprinting such a huge impression on my son (who thinks budgie is great) it was time someone went all mummsy on him and tried to get him into line a bit. So we started off our attempt to change his ways by putting him in charge of sorting out a donation for the Charity run last weekend.....

Posted Image

He said he enjoyed his day doing nothing insane and just hanging out with us three TTOers that braved the rain to attended....

Posted Image

although my hubby was a little off when he caught him tinkering with the turbo on his HR....

Posted Image

and he was grinning from ear to ear at being signed up as an honorary (for any future budgie recipients yep I'm pretty sure I did spell that wrong on his card lol) TTO member...

Posted Image

so the next day I worked on getting him a little domesticated....

Posted Image

really pleased when he went missing in the arvo to find him....

Posted Image

IRONING!!!! Not sure what made him decide to do that though I don't do iron so can't claim that I taught him that

coolngroovy in Qld taught him all those domestic things........................he just loves doing the house work.................................hahahahahahahahahahaa

if budgie just looked behind him he would have found a better option, screw the ironing... GO THE SPA!!

Yeah no one said he was real smart :fool: ... like I said I don't even do ironing so I don't know why on earth he decided he would :dontknow:

Hey Rana girl, can you PM me your address or that of whoever he is going to, I still have his QLD torana club membership card, found it amongst all the paperwork in the office on the weekend!

I'll PM you who to PM for an address Chris.

Kel, great to see that sunbudgie is being domesticated just like me :blink2:

If you want the info on those Toranas I found near Beauty Point then PM me your PH number and I will call you one arvo on my free time :)

Regards .... Barry

:D cheers Barry I'll PM you hubby says no more we have enough but there's always room for just one more aye took a while but he gave in on getting a hatch... nagging can be a wonderfully persuading :D

My domesticating of Budgie wasn't all success he turned the washing machine into a joy ride....

Posted Image

and the final straw was finding him....

Posted Image

playing sleep overs! I tried really hard to believe that his intentions were all above board but he's a hard one to trust

So with much crying and upset form my son who had become quite attached to Budgie  he has been sent on his way so lock up your mailboxes folks :burnout:

Might be some baby torries on the way but I don't think that budgie is the sort that lays eggs.

Well, we came home from a bit of shopping today and there was a little present waiting for us in the letterbox which had my name on it. So I got inside and started opening it. I got a bit of a fright when Budgie jumped out and started complaining about how I left him in the rain all these hours etc. LOL But anyway, just thought I'd let you all know that Budgie has arrived all safe and sound with his Tas Torana Honary Member card bluetacked to his back :) I'll make Budgies stay very fun, if he's good I might even get him a little Christmas present... any suggestions? Pics coming on what he gets up to. :spoton:

baha facebook I'm the facebook queen he's seen that used plenty while he was down here, I even have a photo of him on there.....

I'm hoping very much there was no laying of any sort going on in my bird cage because I think the real bird is a boy too  (hmmm but then again Budgie did have a girly purple hat on at our picnic with the mainlanders so maybe my assumption that Budgie is male was wrong and it's a she :dontknow: )

Good luck with him (?) Tori! I thought he'd like spending Christmas with a few of his relative's at your place.

Budgie was a little freaked out when he didnt find any beer in the house! He found this though (took him a while to realise it was empty)
Posted Image
and when he did, he found chocolate instead, he ended up in a chocolate overdose, and took a while to recover. Mum wasn't very happy when there weren't any chocolates left.
Posted Image
He then met the cats.... that was an experience...
Posted Image
He is getting nervous about coming driving with me on Sunday. Except he told me he would rather come with me instead of staying home with the cats! He told me he is scared I will crash or something like that but it made him feel a bit better when I told him Im driving in a Budgie. He is still worried about the Budgie tho. Posted Image
