I spoofed in my pants when I saw it at Speed on Tweed...then there was my old mate the Matich SR3..(green)....and..to top it off SR4.(blue).we sat and talked for about 20 mins about all the miles we travelled in the race transporter...the long drives in the night..the funny times we had and saw.......That was /is also..pure sex...and the best Can Am car built...before Can Am was invented...thats why they banned Frank from their series in the US...He went once...smoked them and went home....sort of like the Americas Cup...we took that off them as well.

At the Tasman Revival, I must have walked around that SR3 about a dozen times at least in awe of the car - and then a tubby bald bloke came up and started talking to me about. Frank Matich! I couldn't believe how laid back and friendly he was. Another master car constructor. Again, an A50 or A53 would be in my dream car collection.

Yeah Makka it was OK, Mercedes Benz put on a great spread. Good food, plenty to drink and a free hat!
I spent most of the day on the outside deck where we had a good view of corners 11 and 12.
Took these shots for Rory in the historic pits. (Actually I took a heap of photos in the pits)

And double bonus, Ian Tate spotted me taking pics and invited me in for a quick chat, was happy to hear how the Hatch is doing, he was having a good time but unhappy about the oil from some of the little coopers all over the track.

Yeah there was a prang on turn 3 when a young bloke called Lyon/s
got his left rear over the curbing onto the grass & spun then rolled
back into the oncoming hoard & a kiwi, Smith, collected him taking
out the LH side of him.
Thought "ouch" thats gonna be expensive but both drivers OK.
