I'm desperately trying to get my Torana fit to run, having issues with leaking fuel fittings at the moment but should be fixed by then. A mate has a tough VY LS1 wagon who wants to run me too.

The more the merrier!

Just remember it's really important that there are no leaks (especially fuel! We would not want to see a fireball that's for sure!)

Your mate is mroe than welcome along too!

Just remeber to tell them at scrutineering that your in teh GMH-Torana lane!

Cheers

Ok cool. Yeah fuel line will be fixed. Raced at WSID before but not in this car so I know the drill. Will tell the officials I want to join the cars from the GMH Torana forum too. Cheers Matt

I will make an attempt to come up and meet some of the forum members. I say attempt, cause things are very tough at the moment with funds.

I don't think it would be wise to run my car with a noisy gearbox. I know what I'm like. What's parking like up there for spectators?

Would it be safe to bring the torana up?

Parking is OK but I personally wouldn't park my Torana in spectator parking. If you're not competing what you can do is if you know someone who is competing, tell the officials that your car is a support vehicle for that car & they will usually let you in the main parking arena for an additional fee. Your car will be safer there. I've done this in the past & had no problems.

^ Exactly!

Each car gets another "car pass" to give to their support vehicle, so you can come in for free ( just the normal spectator fee of course), and park in the pits! Much Safer!

Guys im not sure if im going to be able to race. I shattered the flex plate the other day, pulled out the gearbox, fixed it all up, bolted it up and now the bastard wont kick over. Havent had a chance to talk to dad about it as I worked tonight, but hopefully he will have some relatively good news for me when I chat to him. If the Torana isnt there, I will try and still bring along the Torailer for you Tiny towed behind mums calais. I should try and convince dad to let me run the calais! But dont tell mum!

Will keep you updated, if not ill still come and spectate!

Mitch, Thats bad news mate! How come the flywheel went?

Can you crank teh engine by hand? or is it mechanically locked up?

Hope you can get it sorted, and thanks for the offer of teh torailer mate! It's greatly appreciated!

The reason it went was because the guy who owned it before my didnt put on the little plate which compresses the flywheel to the back of the block, so the whole wheel just split around the bolts. The motor will kick over, start, cough, splutter and die. Doesnt seem to be a fuel issue, but i havent spoken to dad yet as I just got back from The Who concert!

Try and update with some news tomorrow.

Hi Tiny and Mitch,

If it's not too much trouble, could one of you organise some fine weather for the drags on Wednesday night.

Cheers Mick.

Hoping for a fine night of racing for everyone else though!

Hopefully not too many burnout cars. Sort of wrecks it."
