She's got a roady.
I'll book her in for reg on monday.
I gotta get some stock wheels, the current rims are to small... top end is lacking.
Other than that there are no immediate plans at the mo, I have to get the T18 on the road for the other half.

Sweet, good to hear!

Give it longer legs by changing the diff ratio, don't screw around with different wheel combinations to influence the gearing. Getting another diff would be cheap as too!

Someone has already mess around with the wheel combo.

Its running tiny 13 inch rims at the moment where as the spare is a 14 inch rim with 2.5 inches difference in total diameter.
Basicly the 13 inchers rotate an extra 53 times per kilometer. At 80 kph my wheels will rotate an extra 4240 times in an hour.
So basicly EVERYTHING is turning faster and more than it should.

:)

lol nerd, so what? You don't want to wear through sets of tyres as quickly so you'll get ones with an increased circumference?

Remember 13"s are factory

I'm more concerned about bearing than tyres.
Are 13 factory size? The spare wheel is a 14.
These wheels look tiny.

yeah mate 13" is the factory size on them, the 14" spare you have would most likley be from a hk-g holden, they had the same stud pattern as Toranas. you should be able to pick up some 14" mags for it fairly cheep if you wanted, I sold a set of hotwires in 14x7 for $100 a year or 2 ago, they needed painting and polidhing though but if your prepared to put some effort in to clean some up you could get something similar

lol yeah trust me. They do look overly small, especially with the car sitting like a 4WD. If you can find some nice 14"s or 15"s, go for it. There are a fair few options...

Well I gotts do something about the wheels/ratios.

Thanks to a friendly yellow LX hatch owner I found out my baby has no go. I got sorted hard.

Firsty my rims may be the right size but are my tyres? p175/70 ...
Should i be running 75's?

Apperently the 202 manuals are ment to run a 3.08:1 diff, where as mine is stile the starfire sized 3.9:1 diff.

I also have a NASTY flat spot if I accelerate to hard.

Got 3.08 diff in on the weekend.

Thats the sh!t.

Car feels better to drive.

And it sounds better. Not only is it not screaming at 80, but the 2.5 exhaust grumbles slowly up to the revs now.

... plus it still has killer driftabilities.

Went to sent the timing with my new light.... the balancer seems to have slipped.

Now its time to get a 350 carby on there.
