I’ll put some pics up later but I also managed to score a motec data logger dash have started to play with it still bubbling my way around using it can’t get the af sensor to work properly unsure if it’s a faulty sensor or if ive wired it wrong great bit of kit though looking through data after a run

Other new additions include a gz motorsports vacuum pump
Also now run a aeroflow vacuum pump kit for the brake booster which I highly recommend for any one struggling with brake vacuum it’s not to loud but keeps great pedal feel even after multiple hard braking at a motorkhana day

Haven’t done any real progress on the car of lAte but have got a new home for the car bought a place and decided to give the garage a floor coating before I moved in it had a crappy epoxy on it already but lifted in parts and was becoming porous I used rustoleum rock solid after doing heaps of research and watching videos pretty happy with it went down easy prep work is key like all painting. makes cleaning up mess super easy also the decorative chips help hide the shittyness of the concrete
Used rustoleum primer first before laying down the coating unless the concrete is perfectly flat you end up using bit over double what rustoleum say the product will cover 8e7620044d7d1f7b94ae4e44fe47299c.jpg

Nice, hopefully those decorative chips don’t hide bolts when you drop them on the ground

As requested by Shubes excuse the mess still working on storage solutions and need to get onto the electrical in the shed previous work was very much a blind handyman effort

Run 16mm2 wires to the shed from the box.

It may sound like overkill, but it wont be a whole lot more expensive than the 6mm2 that most would be okay with.

It ensures the voltage drop isnt much, and you will be able to do a lot without it tripping the breaker at the board.

LED strip lights, which are the new fluoro replacement are about 70 to 80 bucks each froma wholesaler.

You can change their brightness and white intensity as well if you choose to.

Apart from that, lots of power points and a dedicated circuit for a welder.

Cheers

Rob

Yep agree do as Rob said, did my shed that way, do it right once and you’ll never look back. Sub board in the shed with lots of double outlets and a dedicated 15A outlet with a slow trip breaker on it for air compressor or welder.

New dash arrived the other day from
Mako Motorsport to suit the data logger bit dissapointed they wouldn’t include the fan outlet or the ash tray but tbh I’ve never used either anyway should make the motec dash sit nice and neat instead of the cable ties that are currently holding it in place

Sorry, are you going to cut a hole so the barrel vent is still present on the RHS on the dash?

Undecided on that yet if I can make it neat I will but otherwise not planning too I can’t say I’ve ever really used the fan in the car but I do prefer it visually to be there

Keep in mind that barrel vent is not connected to the heater box or fan, it's just a direct feed from the plenum.

If you aren't using it, you should start driving your car more. Getting rid of ventilation has no benefit, and it certainly is a compromise... Visually and functionally.

Was awesome to get out cruising last night mate - your beast sounds unreal. What's the details on the exhaust system?

Extractors are custom 1 7/8 stainless 4 into 1s with merge collectors then it’s 3 inch all the way through with hooker aero chambers on it believe it or not it’s quieter now with the tail pipes initially had it dumped at the diff was a bit much

Been running Viking double adjustable shocks for about a year now but was never happy with how close they got to the caliper s for the rear disc so decided to have a crack at relocating the shock pick up point 937b69bfc08dacac00db609cf7056d0a.jpg

So the cars currently eaten another starter motor had cvr unit break a circlip taking out another flex plate in the process so
While off the road this time have finally gotten into upgrading the brakes to something a bit more modern

After hunting around and trying to be budget conscious I’ve gone for some au calipers with bf falcon discs using adaptor kit from planet parts

Bought a jig to drill from ford to hq pattern

Still waiting on last bits to put the trans back in

Have a motorkhana booked in for April will be keen to put the set up to the test 0bfef523d7aa0b51b51e28567e823e20.jpg
