well 9 inch is all fitted up and works now with out leaking after goign through multiple seals foudn that there was no breather stuck one in and no problems now

gonna start looking for some 15 inch fatties the 14 inch cragars i got look grouse but cant get tyres bugger than 245 which would be perfect if i didnt have flares

also had the car tuned and man does it go good now no more flat spots i cant wait to take it to heathcote again and see how much its improved

Good to hear you managed to get it sorted :)

Hope you have a grouse weekend...should be lots of fun

well been a really really long time since ive updated this long story short 9 inch went boom bigtime which inspired an all out attack on the rear end
diff is now currently 31 spline moser axles detroit true trac centre with 3.5 motive gears in a strange pro nodular iron third member case with a strange daytona alloy pinion support and a strange chrome moly 1350 series yoke all out it has set me back alot of coin but im confident in its strength now ive got some vn heads im gonna hot up and chuck on this 308 and see how well it can go did 14.7 last time with crappy old banjo and tiny wheels but pulled 98mph so has alot of potential for better numbers just need some bigger wheel and ill head back to heathcote for another crack
heres some photos of new goodies

ended up frying the clutch and possibly cooking the starter motor the old aussie 4 help up really well but drained the oil on it and not one bit of metal or even discolouration from 6yr old oil pulled the fly wheel off and gave it a machine old flywheel bolts stripped on the way out so bought a set of arp jobs for 16 bucks just gotta get a clutch monday and should be all ready for maroondah dam run

freshly machined flywheel with new arp bolts they have heaps more thread bite than the crappy standard ones
Posted Image
also while i was underneath the car noticed a fair bit of weld on the inside of the extractor flanges probably wont do much but i ground them nice and flat
