Great day thanks Tiny,
Mine ran 12.631 @ 107.75 pretty happy for the ol 308
Only issue for me during the day was my brake booster decided it didnt want to play anymore but just meant holding the pedal down harder![]()
Good to see everyone again and a few new people.
Funny that, my brake booster packed it during the first pass as well.
The L34 had 13 passes, best was 11.48 @ 117 mph.
Had a few shifter/linkage probs, fixed that and then fried the clutch.
All in all, it was a top day and hats off to Tiny & Simmo for making it happen.
On a sadder note, and after 8 years of pounding the 1/4 mile, I will be retiring the L34 after this meet, its time for a full resto. The party pack is coming out and the original stuff is going back in.
Ive had the time of my life.
Cheers

A HUGE thank you to Tiny & Simmo for all your hard work that went into organising the day

Also a thank you to all that competed for a spectacular show for us spectators, and for bringing out some really tough cars!
It was great to meet some more forum members that I hadn't met previously, and catch up with all the members I hadn't seen or spoken to in a while.

Thanks for the compliment.
Its a great combo, modest but a lot of fun ( 308 standard stroke = 364fwp + 100 shot of NOS, top loader, 9 inch 3:70 gears ) = 11.48 @ 117 mph. How good is that.
My plan is to sell the gear, restore the L34 and then buy a 9 second Torana. Have my eyes on one at the moment but its too soon and I cant afford it. There seems to be a heap of 9 second cars for sale at the moment.
Keith, that should answer your question as well.
Cheers

I hate useless threads

We have about 3,500 images from the day to sort and upload, so I am hoping to have them all done by next weekend...
Those that pre-purchased a photo package will have them sent out once we have them all sorted.
I need to get the Names/Addresses and the car details/entant numbers from Tiny. so at this stage, probably looking at about 2weeks before they are in your letterboxes... - but you will be able to view them on-line obviously.
I am still sorting pics, but I thought I better get some hi-res samples up ASAP..
WSID is a PITA to shoot when it is so sunny, but I am confident you guys will like them...
These samples are at 1200x800 and around 1.2 mb each...
