Firstly I've got to apologise, I've been flat out with the new business, work and TAFE i havent been able to get online much!
BUT!!

I've Updated the list below with the payments have have hit my account as at 22/5/09

Thanks to everyone who has paid, the list is looking Mighty impressive, I can see a few cars (numberplates) that i recognise! This is going to be a FANTASTIC day!

Just a few things to remember please!

All the rules must be followed to the letter. - The bottom line is that It's my name on the track hire (personally!) and I wont be left in the poo by anyone doing the wrong thing, or trying to get away with anything silly. We are all going there to have a really enjoyable day!

One important thing to remeber with all friends cars is the 11.0 Sec cutoff time.
If the Scruitineers see a car that is CAPABLE of running faster than 11.0 they WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RACE!!!
It's not what the car runs on the day it's the capability. (It's so that we dont get a 9.6 sec car come out and "only" do a half pass to stay within the limits.. that will NOT be permitted.

As i mentioned before, If people have paid and they are refused on the day I CANNOT give a refund because they have used a spot that has already been paid for. This is a WSID enforced policy and again i cant afford to be left holding the can if someone does something silly!

Anyhow, Enough of the bad stuff!

I'm looking forward to racing with you guys, this is going to be a top day!!

Our limit is 50 cars MAXIMUM ( 40 MINIMUM), and as i mentioned, it really comes down to dollars on the fridge to get in!


So things are looking good!



Now! I spoke with John Henman today on the phone and have answers on all the issues... EXCEPT the group C car issue!

1) - There will be no money taken on the day THUS Spectators will need to get a ticket from one of the racers.
As there are 5 spectator tickets INCLUDED in each entry, there will be HEAPS of spectator passes to go around! I might ask all the dirvers with any spare tickets to give me a few so i can let spectators in.

2) BBQ - BBQs will definitely be allowed in the Pit Area - I was thinking about putting on a sausage sizzle to cater for everyone, but to be honest... I want to be racing Not cooking!! So for those who have BBQs, or want to bring a picnic type lunch please do so. there will be NO CATERING on the day!

3) Parking for Spectators - IS allowed in the Pit Area - Everyone is to use the Competitors gate, and once you have got your spectators pass you will have free entry to the pit area to park with eveyrone else. THere is no segregated parking like at large events.

4) 11.0 Sec Cutoff - Due to the rules all cars that "HAVE A KNOWN POTENTIAL TO RUN SUB 11.0 SEC PASSES WILL BE NOT ALLOWED TO RACE". They were the words of John Henman. He did say that they were NOT the fun Nazis, and if by some chance the car dips ONCE below the cutoff.. you will be warned but allowed to race.. but if you pull it off teh trailer and run a 10.80... forget it for the day! (and again... sorry... no refund!!). He did say that if you are *THAT* borderline... to just roll off the throttle at maybe the 1200ft mark so you stay under the limit.. that way you can keep racing!

5) EXHAUST - Must run a street style exhaust system - Much like the Wednesday night street Meets at least one functional muffler should be on the car........... (note the.......)

6) ANDRA Licenced Racers - Must PLEASE contact me and give me their ANDRA licence number to be added to the list.


The Group C Car regulations are still being checked with ANDRA for permission, but at this stage he was hopefull they would be ok!



The thing i will have to do mid next month is pay the deposit and start making a final list of entered drivers... i will need:

First Name, Last Name, GMH-Torana.com.au Nickname to make it easier for me if you have one!!, Secondary Driver's First and Last name, and ANDRA Licence Number (if you have one).
This will need to be submitted to WSID at LEAST a week before the race day!

Karlie and I were planning on popping down, and I think mum and ray were keen to come watch too but I dont want to cause a problem?
