On the topic of 2jz engines. Has anyone put one in a torana?
I went down the RB25DET path and I'm very, very happy with it. It's only standard at the moment, but it goes very hard.
It's also better on fuel than the worked red 6 that I had and much more power.
If you do go down the RB series path, i do have a contact for a factory sump that only needs slight mods and looks much better than other sumps out there.
Hot holden 6 or turbo 6 conversion?

As much as i like the idea of a 265 in a torana (seen a turbo'd 265 run 10's in full street trim charger), the 2jz seems to be the obvious choice for power and wow factor. You would be able to pop the bonnet and have people ask you millions of questions.
While not everyone is going to like wat youve done, its doesn't matter cause far more people are going to be interested in it due to the engineering and the fact that its different.
Sounds like a brillant idea to me

There's also an old Merc getting around the scene with one and it does some awesome power skids.
