Hi Guys, I have been lurking for a while on here thought it was time put put up my ongoing project!
Aiming to do a stock standard looking LX Slr5000 replica with stocko wheels/Trims etc, started with a LX SL 173, 3spd colomn, now have car stripped of panels etc, have a 253 stroked to a 310 - 5spd celica box and everything else ready for the rebuild just need the time! Lol

All replacment window panels have now been welded in and ground back, more pics soon!

Looks like your off to a great start, very original looking torana even looks like it has original front screen still

Trial re fitted the rear screen and new rubber last night just to make sure the screen sealed up nice, all went well so Im a very happy lad! Have now taken the screen back out ready for a bit of filler and etch primer.

Bought the radiator support panel from Rare Spares, they take a bit of modifying tho to get them to fit. The rare spares ones are straight along the bottom and the original ones were curved slightly a bit like a smiley face.Lol

Update time, bit cold here in Tas at the moment so a bit hard to get motivated but here we go:
Rear window has been finished and been etch primed, Rear springs & Sway bar re fitted

Jesus this is coming along very quickly. Looks like you are quite good at rust repairs, are you in the trade? Keep up the good work. Whats the story behind the hatch in the avatar?

Will look mint when its finished mate.

Cant take the credit for all of the repairs Tom, a panel beater mate comes around and does all the hard stuff I am just the off sider doing all the cutting out etc.
The avatar pic is my old SS hatch I sold about 7yrs ago, yes yes very stupid thing to do I know!

Just about finished all the rust replacements throughout the body shell, only have the rear quarters to go now and all done Posted Image. Still have to weld on new internal panels which help support the bonnet hinges. Here is some pics of the latest repair sections & the console I painted black and also fitted a new arm rest cover which was previously brown.

Coming along nicely. I love watching these sorts of build threads. I take my hat off to people that can do this sort of stuff! If I had my time over again I would have chosen panel beating over mechanicing!
