I know this has proably been stated before but can not find it.
all imformation is for commodore booster, thought the same as torana.
will a p10050 m/c fit a v8 torana dual diaphram, and if so
what other mods apart from b/lines and push rod lenght.
am running hq front brakes hz rear disc.

So the front booster cannister needs to be changed or modified to suit
Or just contact this guy and get a rebuilt one ready to bolt on that you know will fit and work

Commodore rod is way too long and needs cutting down anyway, you might as well weld on the end of the bent rod...

You got any pictures of your handbrake cables where they attach at the calipers

No, sorry not yet. I don't have a hand brake hooked up yet. I'm going to get some custom made very soon. I will post up some pics when they're done.

Could be any number of reasons.. .and you need to slowly and individually check the car to determine which wheel , wheels or master are giving fault
Its new. WHen you did the mod did you have to do anything to the push rod between the booster and master cylinder?
I also noticed my m/c is on a slight angle but when its filled as high as it can go the ports are covered. It just feels like I still have air for some reason.

I did find the front rh caliper to be flexing due to wear and the pistons retracted back after appliciation.
I managed to find a wilwood caliper to fit which is a 4 spot. ( I rang hopperstoppers and they told me only the hq caliper would fit my set up)
Any way the pedal has improved allot but what I have now noticed is when you push the pedal down firm the booster flexes out. (pushes the master cylinder foward) Can any one else that has the vn set up tell me if your does it?
I also noticed with the engine not running the pedal will not pump up rock hard like it normaly does on other cars

hey guys not long finished this hatch build
. ive got vt fronts
vp rears.
i think vk dual booster that bolted strait in. ( no mods) ??
vn ss 1" master
.
everything is brand new. i have bleed over 4 ltrs of fluid thought the system
yet my peddle is still spongy???
why does the booster rod need shorting?
mine reached the torana peddle perfect and fitted fine???
they are working but not 100% and the peddle is to spongy.
ppl say they need to bed in and it will firm up???
ive done approx 50km with as much stop and go as i can from 60km to 0, they have got a bit better stopping power but the sponge stays the same?
how do i attach pics here to show ppl the install??

How have you adapted VT fronts ?
Since they don't fit on there very well and are a shit caliper
Maybe some pics of your setup would help

Oh gawd... so its a UPC-Mr Spares ebay special ?
How about some pics mate... lets see what the thing is and see if we can help
Have you tried isolating the issue to a single wheel or axle of the car by clamping off all the lines and trying to get a firm pedal to start.. .then drop a clamp at a time and see where the problem is ?
The rear backing plates might be bent
The hoses might be swelling
The front kit might just be a pile of mismatched doo doo
Pop up a new thread... lets try keep this one about what its about... since your issues going to go beyond the scope of this threads intentions.

I have an early model LX (4/76) originally a 6cyl. I am putting a 5litre VS engine and T5 into it.
I am having trouble sourcing a Straight arm V8 torana booster as everyone else seems to be.
My master cylinder is a P7210. Can I use this with the above mentioned boosters in this forum.
Which booster is easiest/best for conversion.
I will be running the drums on the back for now, until I do diff upgrade.
I have a mate with some exc condition HQ cast calipers, so may just have some discs turned down and re drilled torana pattern.
Any thought, or tips greatly appreciated.
This is my first build so a bit of a novice, and stupid questions will follow!!

No you can't use the commodore booster with your Torana master as the bolt patterns are different
But a booster rebuilder might be able to use the front can from your Torana on the Commodore booster
Pushrod would need to be set up at the right length to suit too
