as u possibly know SA has had a fair ammount of rain, i am up on the Yorke Peninsula and was driving lastnight after it stopped raining and went through a spoon drain (damn town has em at every frikin intersection and crossroad lol) only slowely and about 40sec later all my indicators started flashing (like warning lights,, and im pretty sure 71' LC doesnt have warning lights) it eventually stopped after a tried indercating left and right,, but it did this 3-4 times during me driving to my GF and home.

Sounds like you may have drowned your front blinkers, take the covers off, let the water out and throroughly dry everything inside.

make sure the earth wire for blinker plug is making a solid contact...after this many years there very rusty so contact could be an issues as well
