I forgot how much of a pain in the arse it is to get everything lined up/even/bolted on.
especially while trying not to scratch anything!

Little bit of tape while fitting the bumper

How it sat when I was done for the night.

Bumper is aligned, just needs a final tighten (trying to maneouvere the bar and work on the bolts from underneath is overly strenuous!)

Did you slice out part of your gate and hang it in the back window ?

(Car looks awesome by the way!!)

I think once I get the adjustable control arms in and the back lowered a bit more, it will look the part.

And yep, could imagine it with a little lower altitude in the rear

If you look at the picture in my sig (side shot) you can see how far back the rear wheels are already in the wheel arch.
Any lower on stock components and it will touch the rear of the wheel well and completely frOck the pinion angle (already a bit off)
So tubular adjustable upper control arms (there are some nice shiny edelbrock ones on summit that fit)
The problem lies in the lowers, the LJ rear suspension has the spring saddles located on the lower control arms, so they dont make adjustable versions.
That means I need to make some at the correct length.
Thinking rose jointed is the way to go while I'm at it (no more issues with bush twisting etc etc)

I've seen ones on lowers that have the springs on them over here on something though...hmmmm..
Oh ya, think it was fox body mustangs ? (I put lowered coils in an old mate's car once...early 90's car)
I have Edelbrock adjustable uppers on my car

Its not much (just a small metal tab welded on)
BUT after chatting to the guys at Mcdonalds Bros, they reckon that due to the forces of the spring on the arm, having an adjustable version would be dangerous as the meeting point between the threaded end and the arm would be a weak point and may not stand up to the ongoing strain of the spring/shock loading.
The next option is to buy adjustable uppers, and measure up lowers to suit(fixed length) and either have someone make tubular arms or cut down the original arms and resleave.

Maybe buy some of them and cut them to suit length ?

They are the adjustable tops from mcdonald bros.
I think custom rose jointed arms like these are the go though-

If you were going to make some up, you can get all sorts of various joints/ends, tubes, etc over here for them of course.. (cheaper than there I would guess)
Mine are the Chevelle Edelbrocks...

I'd eventually like to swap out the pressed little linkage sections that run from the rod to the downbars, for something a bit better, but it works fine for the moment.
As for the fuel, I'm just running banjo fittings at the moment (one 90 and two T ends)
I've almost got everyhting at home to swap it all out for a full braided fitting setup though, so thats on the cards in the coming months, the braided line is all legit at the moment, but just running econoclamps
