With some guard mods, you'll be able to get them sitting ace!
Also, sometimes the scraping actually sounds worse than what its actually doing... (But sometimes its also the other way around! LOL)

Mate that looks so much better than the jellybean wheels. I had jellybean mags on my first LJ and when I replaced them with a set of sprintmasters it changed the whole look of the car.

Current wheels are 16x7 with a 3 inch outer rim.
They reccomend changing to a 2.5inch outer, making the offset 16p (stock was 19p)
But the kicker is that its going to cost me $200 per outer rim (with a ten week delivery from the phillipines of all places), plus paying a wheel repairer to pull apart and re-assemble +reseal the rims.
Still need to buy two new tyres ($120 each for some 195/45/R16 nangkangs will do me for now)
So my bill is looking like this- (without rim purchase)
$40 in carton of beer for transport
$400 for new outers
$240 for 2 new tyres
so thats at about $680 so far,
Ontop of that im going to have to pay $100-200 to have the outers swapped over.
I should get a few more kays out of the other tyres, but they could probably do with replacing in 6 months time too.
So looks like I'll be buying some new lock nuts to replace the old ones and keeping the jelly beans for a bit longer, I just cant afford all that outlay right now with going back to uni next semester (losign a days pay a week)
One day hey....

Priced a set of simmons though.... just under 3 grand without tyres for what I wanted! haha.
Maybe I should just stick with my jelly beans... seems less hassle!

all up its about $200 for the two outers and shipping to my doorstep from south australia
going to get some quotes on fitting them now.
Wheels will definitely be on this year now

just need to sort out some lower springs etc.
on other LJ news,
Carpet samples should be here friday, im having my 21st over the weekend and anything I get from that will be buying me a new rocker cover (its a secret as to what kind!)
When I pull the carbies off, the car will be getting the engine bay resprayed and the front valance behind the number plate resprayed (I only bodged it over after the rust repairs, the heat #@$^%& some paint etc.)
then the new setup can go on (should have enough time to clean it all up and everything)
Then the front end is coming out (engine will stay in) to be rebuilt (new ball joints, general check over of suspension bits hopefully some konis and the set of lovels from the shed) and a powdercoatiing.
Im also looking at redesigning my boot, so if anyone is interested in the old wall and subs then give me a hoy.
Im just trying to do anything I can at a lowish sort of cost.
The only major cost at the moment is going to be the new breathing apparatus or apparatuses that the car is getting!
