Hi All wondering what's your thoughts on these brand cam's and these specs
I got this cam and lifters with a pair of heads we just bought, its all goin on a 355 stroker Vn heads (had a fair bit done to them by the looks)
The car is mainly street duties wanted to stay hydrualic for ease of maintenance!
Are blue racer cams Decent? Ive always used Clive cam's and he's always asked my engine specs and use and sent me a cam to suit (so far never been wrong or played up)

Cam specs are

218 @50thou on both inl/exh

110 seperation

Is this a small 'ish cam for a 355, we hope to make around the 350-400hp but be very driveable

Hi Ed
I hear that the quality of these "Crane" cams is fine, but I'd say 218 @ 50 is certainly too small for the power you're after.

Redslur is stoked with the way his 286 Crane performs (with HQ heads, not VN), this has 230 @ 50, gross lift of .496, and Lope Separation Angle of 110. Personally, I wouldn't go smaller than this.
Cheers, Harve

a bit too small for a 400hp 355, a 284 crane is the smallest i would go at (222 @ 050), 230-236@ 050 would be better.
