I attended the 2014 Nostalgia Drags last Sunday, I was more than happy with the 12.27,12.26 & 12.28 that I had run, then out popped a 12.16 @ 109mph, which of cause I broke out on a 12.22 dial in, in the 3rd round of eliminations.

I'm the one in the right lane.

Managed an 11.36 at today's meet and a best MPH of 119.5 for the day. My quickest time down the track anyway. Friggin 36 degree track heat too. Too much wheel spin through to the 60ft line according to the lads watching. Need slicks to get the best out of it. Not going to chase a 10, happy it is what it is...

Update time.  Got 7 runs in today.  New spark plugs and full slicks made a difference of 0.4 of a second. Very first run was 11.00 @123MPH. Ran 11.0's all day and finally got it all right and ran an 10.96.  Go the 355 stroker...(hats off to Matty and Ned as they did all the hard work.  I just got to enjoy the fruits of their labour) Happiest man in Australia...Now it is time to either sell the engine, or detune it.  A big Bucket list tick for me.....

Well done mate, sensational effort. It must be a pretty angry 355. Hope you can find a good photo from today, and frame it with the time-slip!

Thanks boys. I knew the car had it in it but it is always hard to get a spot on run where everything comes together. At this end of the spectrum, gaining a 10th down the quarter isn't easy to do. Mumbo can atest to that! I had my doubters that said it wouldn't run a 10 becuase the MPH wasn't there last time i took it up. (It ran [email protected]). I knew things weren't right at the time but wanted to see what the car was like straight off the trailer etc. I had it on the dyno a couple of weeks back to make sure all the mixtures and timing were right etc and the dyno guy said my exhaust is too small for this engine set up plus I should be running a better fuel.  Anyway,Ii proved them wrong which makes me even more satisfied. The MPH suggetst the car would go a lot quicker but the car simply isn't set up to achieve a faster time.  It would need 90/10 shocks, better exhaust and better fuel. Not going down that path...Next time I run the car, it will be a more streetable set up.  Hopefully still run a high 11 :-)

My mates and daughter took loads of pictures and videos,  Will try and put something up.

PS Mumbo, your car is a weapon mate.

Total agree, all he needs to change is the box to an overdrive and the final gears a little bit.

Got a buyer for the heads already :-). A mate is keen on the cam, lifters and manifold so all I need now it to pull the engine out LOL...

Getting old.  Want a more driveable car...My green machine was about my level of thril seeking.  Could drive it to the drags and run a high 11 and drive home again,.Even with an overdrive, my setup isn't street friendly....

Another successful day at the drags. My baby 355 managed a 11.5 @ 116. Was consisten all day in the mid 11's. Certainly surppassed my expectations..

Nah this is a brand new engine I built. I used the same cam, heads and manifold though. I still have the bottom end for the other one though.
