mate i never once said that thay where a fitment to the xu1s, but i do know that thay where used by xu1 owners whom race rally cars in 71 and thay are a fitment to every other lc, but where not requirred by the owners of xu1s.
thrush, if your car has them leave them there, because whom ever owned the car before you must of had brains.

No my lc sl with original seats has no head restraints

The info I have found says LC ran from 69-72 but isn't specific to what months.
The A.D.R for head restraints was initiated 1/1/72 so I rekon late ones would of had to have them.

I didn't know that either.. but I kinda thought it may have even been required by new ARDs. Just never seen one with em!

When i was at all holden day last year i saw 2 12/71's.they both had head rests on their seats.

yer you dont see many LC,s with with headrests, my 12-71 four door has them fitted. glacier white with twilight blue trim.

Mines an April '70 build and it doesn't have headrests.
I think the back seat is a slightly different shape to the LJ too.
