Why the hell would you cancel all bids and not end the auction? I am guessing someone is reading this thread.

I agree with not selling these plates so some mongrel can rip off unsuspecting buyers, it's rubbish.
However I can't see how these plates can stop a car being licensed if fitted to another car. When I licensed my hatch here in WA all the licensing dept went off was the chassis number & engine number, same thing when I licensed my XA here in WA (they are the same on a Ford anyway...). He'll, my hatch never even had a ADR plate!
If someone's wants be really dodgy then they'll just attach the plates after the cars been licensed anyway.
Cheers.

I rang the RTA in NSW as long as the car was registered before the tags mean nothing they go of the chassis number

If the tags came off a stolen car... or are noted as stolen... you might have issue trying to rego a car with them

Do they record the chassis number or whats on the 3 tags.
There was a few posts with tags of registered cars where the middle and body tag did not match the ADR tag.
Provided those tags are not registered as written off or stolen whats to stop him from finding a car with a build month the same as the tag says and putting those tags and a few other L34 parts and registering it passing it of as a L34.
The authentication letter from Holden does not come with a chassis number

WOULDNT BE TOO HARD TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THIS CAR IN THE FUTURE ,an L34 missing the ADR TAG in 19v trim (black trim) and paint code 1878 ( chrome yellow) anyone selling one in that livery will be grilled and gone over with a fine toothed comb !!!
