Can anyone please help.

I purchased what I thought was a XU1 5 years ago from a collector. I have contacted Holden for verification and they have no records prior to 71.

Year 5/70

Model LC 82911

MODEL 1312-A

TRIM 1190-48X

PAINT 568-11429

VIN 82911CLI 50822

My thoughts to date are GTR.

I would appreciate if any body could help.

Thanks

Chrisp

L150822 comes up as an Adelaide build GTR completed on 22/05/1970 and sold by Dealer 857 in 7/70. No engine number recorded.

XU1 didn't exist in May 1970.

p.s. if you were to use it, we would have to hit it with a few spanners, paint it and acid wash it, and then wire brush it, then add some bad rivets too,

Oh and stick a screw driver under it and crease it

These Limited Tags

are for 1988 Model Holden's

So VL Commodore and VN Dore's Etc, my guess and its a guess, GMH must of had some Blank Tags in 1988 that some how have got out, now I am guessing here.

Pick up a VN Dore cheap u think these days, the VL's here in my state are popular with the Young ones, as they have the Nissan Donk, so they get the Blow Dryer put on them, so they still pull good prices the VL here

Yeah, very Pricey, but I guess if u not up with Limited on the Tag, as its only Suits 1988 Holden's onward etc, but some people don't see these things or do there homework etc or don't care, just see a Blank Tag I guess,  its Pick up only, I hope its the Fraud Squad selling it and waiting to see what the buyer is doing with it

Were they a Spare Part thing you could order back in 1988 etc, or you worked at GMH ???

A mate worked at Dandenong and gave them to me. You could buy everything out the back door back then.

Pretty sure the 'first Torana ever built' wouldn't have had tags, could be wrong though

Doesn't make much sense to me, other than the paint is Sandown Fawn. Perhaps a Britain built HB.
