Hi Miles
Any meaningful info about a vehicle can only be gained from the VIN. The VIN has a 13 character number. The Chassis Number that you have given appears to be missing a character. If the number is actually ALJ01059B then all we can tell is that it is an LJ Torana built in Brisbane during February '72. If that is not the number then only the Month will be different.

Hi All,
I've got chassis ID BLJ20514A. Is that a 73 car ?
Also I've got what I assume is the VIN number somewhere?? in my mess.
Is it possible for an LJ to have LC in the VIN number ?

Yes - That's a March '73 Adelaide Chassis Number.
LC in the VIN? Yes L for the engine and C for 1973

Hi I am looking at buying an LX Torana and over the phone the guy says that it is missing all 3 engine bay tags but the chassis number is still there near the headlight on the inner guard. Can the car be registered in NSW still?
