Forgot to take the adr tag .couldnt see the inner
guard # but this should help if it pops on another

The xu1 877A was factory strike me pink the information is in the trim part of the body tag 1840-40X ,the paint code is incorrect 13883 it's like that on a number of Adelaide built LC's and LJ's.Also the engine number is incorrect on the service warranty sheet/vin disc..........It's a SVO factory sprintmaster xu1

Some moron paid $1000 for these LJ 2 door tags advertised as XU1 tags on Ebay. Shouldn't be too hard to spot, not even a set and the big punched hole where the B probably or D once was.

With the body number 59xxx and a H on the vin those plates are off a post October 77 car,and what happened to  that chassis number stamp,  very dodgy.

Just noticed in pics there is no ADR plate on car and its advertised as a 308 but a QR engine number

 Up for auction at Lloyds is 9/72 lime green xu1 with 41x trim 82911JH249003 JP221207 but the original xu1 H249003 was White with 40X also the original JP221207 died long a go.WTF

Hi guys look at buying a lj gtr 1972 do these numbers match the vin number and is it a rare colour for lj gtr vin 8d11lch260833j model tag lj82911 body no 16922b trim 1849 40x paint 567 13239 thanks

That car appears on the VIN disc as a GTR completed in Brisbane on 4/12/72. It was sold to the NSW government the same month. This suggests that it may have been a NSW police car. The original engine was JL238393. It was Phantom Grey 2 with black vinyl trim.  The VIN and Body Number are consistent with the build date but you really need the Chassis Number from the ADR tag and confirm that it agrees with the stamped Chassis Number in the engine bay to complete the 3 way numbers check.

It’s 62X. There were some transition trims at stages, will check what it is later.

Shows you clearly that tags were not ever stamped all at once. Whenever TD went on the VIN tag was upside down.
