I have seen that VIN tag with the upside down TD somewhere before. But my memory is rubbish.

Nothing sus
Posted 08 July 2020 - 10:47 AM
I wasn't going to put this up, as they were just photos put up on Facebook of a guy doing up his car. However they disappeared last night, so I am calling him out as sus.
The number 1's on the body tag are re-stamped for sure. It looks like the body they supposedly came from has no inner seat bolt holes, (pointed out on fbook, hence post disappearing??) and no pins for LH SL/R chrome trim. I'd reckon most SL/R's would have had the rear speaker option as well.

I reckon it almost has to be L252986. Body number looks to be 886 which would fit perfectly with this PSN. There is also L253296, L253806 and L253656 on a quick scan but are all are all too late to be a body number of 88x7x, although L253296 could fit but it will be body number 8997x-ish. The second last digit of the PSN could be either an 8 or a 9 and that fits with L252986 or L253296. It has to be one of those. L252986 would have a body number of 8867x. I'll see if I can get it exact.

I'll see if I can nail the body number for either PSN and then maybe someone would like to ask him on a public forum if they can see the plates with VIN x and BODY number y. See what happens.

geez, looking at the feedback, that's 195 plates/sets of plates in the last 12m.
Must be some great man cave decorations around the place.

They are obvious repros though. I think they must have been copied from an ex Dandenong semi-blank set too as the plates have evidence that suggests it.
