Definitely a VH tag. Would have been LD! M20 GV4. The big giveaway is the BUILT line as Dave says. Plus the GENERAL MOTORS HOLDEN'S LIMITED at the top. The curious thing is no package number after the model code, most Dandenong VH tags I have all have a code there, so either they've flattened that well or it didn't have one. It probably was once an LH SL/R and would have had some value, not anymore.

I’m the only one so far to have questioned the Body ID plate. Everyone else thinks it’s a bargain? Would have been better leaving that dodgy plate off the car altogether….!

I expect the lack of an option code after the model number simply means it was a base model SL/X with no options exercised.

Has he got a photo of it up now? I had to ask him for it because it wasn't on the original Facebook post.

Probably, I don't know enough about them. Could have been an SL or SL/X, but I think you are right that 27X is an SL/X trim code. The only package codes for VH 8VL with LD1 look to be for MC6 or M40 or M76.so is most likely as you state.

Set of claimed to be HX Sandman van tags. On Ebay for $5000.

It is the only L32 M20 GV7 van in the PSN range H905130-39. There is two L32 M20 GU4 examples though.

After repeated requests for a photo of the chassis number to cross reference his Compliance plate, this cat and his facebook posts have disappeared.

This is a 1982 body plate from a New Zealand assembled Commodore. Any ideas what the G80 and 209 are?

I messaged that Scumtree Koala, said his tags were worthless. Being scrutinized here.

Look's good over the bar

Worth something as a display... as long as they don't end up with a scumbag

Those framed tags will end up on a car even if only sold with a wreck. If otherwise, why redact the identifiers?

How anyone can think a set of tags off a 6cyl auto LX SL are even worth $4 is beyond me, let alone $4000. Not even a nice colour combo.

Someone with a flashy looking stolen LX will buy it.
