Are you positive the rear is a 7inch rim. From a few tyre mobs I have spoke to they recon a 235/45 profile won't fit on a 7inch rim.
Yours looks great at the back.
Thanks alot.

Ryan,
100% sure, I have had the 17's on the car since 2000. 235/45 zr17 has been the rear tyre size since then as well.
I ordered the rims and tyres from Bob Jane in Campbelltown, They determined the correct offset and tyre size to suit the car.
Originally the rears were to be 8" but when they put them on to trial fit before welding them up they fouled on the inner and outer guards so they downsized to the 7" rim.
The other rims i have are made for commodore and are 17X7.5" with 235/45zr17 tyres as well
Never had any issues with them
Simon
p.s. come to the all holden day in a couple of weeks you are more than welcome to have a good look if you want

OK well thats good news Simon.
Do you know what brand and model the tyres are? Mainly interested in the rears. So I can give the example of your car to my local bob jane dealer.
I won't be able to make the all holden day.
How far does the outer lip of your rim sit in from the rolled edge of the rear guard??
And im guessing the tyre bluges out about 10mm on either side of the 7inch wheel?
Sorry for bugging you lol.

i have trimmed and welded the lip of my guards as can be seen from the pics it about 40mm from the rim to the lip (excuse the over paint of the black makes it look wavy but it is straight)

This picture is the internal side and the tyre clears the closest part by around 18mm (couldn't get a pic with the tape measure legible i'm not that flexible and needed another arm)

The tyre bulges about 15mm as can be seen for the picture.
I hope this helps
