What you have if all original is a car worthy of a proper job. If you want to get it going for daily use you will never do it justice.

Yes you can spend 30-50k. Or you can take your time. Go take a welding and pannel beating course, learn how to spray paint. Allow yourself say 2 -3 years to get it done.

Once done you can keep it for a very long time so the time and effort you put in your self will be something you can be proud of.

I am lucky and can do most things myself eg all body work. painting and mechanicals.

I have restored 2 LC GTR's and am doing a LC GTR XU1 now and anothr GTR with my son.

Cost to me:
for body work $1000 each including body parts from wreckers;
paint etc $500 ea
Motor $2000 ea
Mechanicals All around $1000 ea
Trim seats door cards etc $3000
Chrome $500
tyres battery etc $1000

So I spend around $10k

BUT you need to do as much as you can yourself.

the problem with all lc/lj's you will never never know what you have intil it's in metal. Then they still good look and can be still rusted away from the inside out.

This is the type of body work that needs to be done to most bodies.

Definately very expensive if you pay to get it done.
