No wonder the tow truck drivers charge so much.

It's time to play the old  'one step forwards, 2 steps back' game.

Fit tail shaft, wrong slip yolk. Wrong U-bolts. Take it back.

New U-bolts fit into 9" yolk, winner!

New U-bolts dont fit caps very nice. They also don't fit into the existing diff yolk?

Oh wait! Someone has fitted a bloody Holden yolk to this thing!  :banghead:

Decisions decisions ....... Stuff it! Do it once! I'm sticking with the bigger uni because of the blower.

Take tail shaft back to shop & get another 1" taken out.

Come home & fit ........

Bloody tailshaft is kissing the gold plated exhaust!  :banghead:

When i had the gold plated exhaust done they dummied it up with a 3" tailshaft.

I think they should have measured twice!

Anyway ......... back on its wheels again.

You finally traded the LWLM in and got a real one I see,and you need to take the stands out from under Purple.
It looks like you will need a rope ladder to get into it from that picture

Now to figure out how this is going to marry onto the existing speedo cable.

Mal wood does a complete bolt in speedo cable to suit your modification. $68 dollars by memory, can check the invoice for you Col?

Yeah, that's strange!

Anyway, i've decided instead of modifying the droptank to accept efi, i'm going to buy a suitable tank.  The old tank has already found a good home.

I'm not sure where to mount the fuel pump though.

Should i still use the std Torana sender? Are there options?

Is a lift pump really needed? Surge tank is internal.

most of the ones i've seen are mounted just by the tank outlet
but there's nothing stopping you mounting a low pressure pump in the tank and the high pressure one outside
just don't mount the internal one to high or let it run out of fuel all the time
the fuel "cools" em and "heat" kills em
